I'm committed to helping you feel empowered to overcome the lingering aftereffects of your past and reconnect with yourself and the world. Our focus will be on your present, and the future you envision for yourself.

Together, we’ll draw upon your own lived experiences and wisdom to come up with practical and effective ways to navigate relationships and set healthy boundaries.

We'll learn to challenge the harsh inner critic with self-compassion. And we’ll be intentional about recognizing and celebrating your wins, big and small, to bolster your self-esteem from within.

We'll work on developing coping strategies that help you build resilience and allow you to regain control of your life and face your challenges from a position of strength and agency.
This is hard work. I know, because I’ve done it, and am still doing it. With help.
Trying to heal ourselves can feel like trying to lift a bucket while standing in it. Sometimes, we need an ally to take our hand and help us step out of that bucket, and then support us with authenticity and compassion as we begin our own healing journey. I would be honored to be that ally for you.

What you can expect from me:

Peer relationship
Our coach-client relationship will be one of equals, with no power differential. I will do my best to guide and encourage you, but will never take control of your narrative.

Recovery goals set
by YOU
Instead of treatment plans, we will collaboratively create recovery goals for you that you think will help you the most in your current circumstances. You will always have voice and choice in charting your own healing journey.
Client-led sessions
You will be in charge in our sessions. I believe you have the knowledge, strength and tools within yourself to heal and reconnect with your body, and emotions, and others. I will help you relocate those resources if trauma has made you lose sight of them.
Safety and authenticity
I will offer you a safe space in which you will feel seen and understood. You will feel empowered to be your authentic self and lead your own healing, and I will be right there, holding you up when things get tough, and cheering you on and celebrating your wins and breakthroughs with you.
No judgement, no shame
I know how dark things can get sometimes, but I also know there’s nothing wrong with you. You’re not broken. I will never judge your experiences or label your responses as wrong, bad or disordered. You’re having normal responses—emotional, psychological and physiological—to abnormal circumstances, even if they happened a long time ago.
Cultural awareness
This goes out to my South Asian sisters and brothers:
I'm an Indian woman long settled in Canada. I know how hard it can be to grow up as a (second-born, in my case) girl child in a patriarchal culture. (Actually, the boys didn't have it easy, either.)
I'm also familiar with the (often subtle) workplace and societal challenges faced by first-gen immigrants in a Western society.
So, I get you.
